How to get to Barcelona
You can get to Barcelona by
air, land or sea. Barcelona airport is easily accessible, 8 miles/13 km
from the city. It has 3 terminals; A, B and C. You can get a flight
from just about anywhere in the world to Barcelona.
Barcelona’s main train station is the
Sants Estacion and is the primary train station for national and
international arrivals/departures. Barcelona
França Station
is located in the south of the
city, not far from the city centre. Most trains to France depart from
here. Plaça Catalunya metro station is the third main station in
Barcelona. This is in the city’s central square.
There are 3 main highways to
get to Barcelona; the A2, A7 and A16. You can arrive to Barcelona by
boat from the Balearic Islands, Genoa and Rome.

Getting around Barcelona is easy and where getting lost is
almost impossible. The metro is widely-regarded the best means of transport, with 5 lines. It’s clean, punctual and air-conditioned and
will take you to most of the major sites. The public bus system is also
very good. There are lots covering all parts of Barcelona, circulating
from 5am to 10pm. The night buses run from 10pm until 5am. Taxis are
an affordable alternative. A 15 minute journey will only cost about
5€. Taxis are usually fast and reliable.
